Why isn't there an alcohol percentage on beer? After reading some clips on the mandatory statement on labels regarding the content of alcohol in them, why is beer excluded from wines and spirits? Could it be that it is a $ 48 BILLION industry? What is the government posture on the issue? And lastly, where would I be able to find out more on this issue?
I meant in the U.S. I checked a Sam Adams and Coors and neither had an alcohol per volume percentage. Where would I find it if it actually has one.

In the UK it is printed on the side of the can or bottle. Beer is usually around 4 to 5% proof.

ive never drank a beer that did not specify alcohol content unless it was draft

All beers have the alcohol content printed on them. Anything less than 5% and you're a total pussy. Go for Guinness extra stout!
