Bulgaria adoptions and fetal alcohol syndrome?My husband and I are planning on adopting a child and are considering Bulgaria. Is fetal alcohol syndrome a concern in this country like it is in Russia and the former USSR countries.

i believe it is. i know there is a patch or sticker that you can take with you and place on the child's forehead and then have pictures taken of the child and send them back to a doctor in the U.S. to see if FAS is a risk (i saw this process in a show about adoption). i do believe it is a concern in bulgaria. best of luck and congrats!
