What types of alcohol are most popular in college?

What types of alcohol are most popular in college?I know that generally people drink the cheapest stuff in college, but are there any particular brands that are very popular in college, and pretty much everyone knows about?

Also, what types of alcohol do most people drink? I've seen vodka, rum and coke, beer and champagne served so far. Are some types avoided, such as whiskey?

beer is most common
but also many enjoy alcopops like Mike's Hard and Smirnoff Ice
really its your taste that would determine what you drink.

the only stuff to avoid would be stuff that you don't like the taste of, or you get bad hangovers in the morning from, but this varies greatly from person to person.

People who aren't picky usually go with beer.

Those that are more... well, like, fancy, prefer mixage of things such as vodka, brandy, rum, Southern Comfort, Cola and juices. (Not all together, but in combination, lol)

Beer is the most popular. generally it coincides with the college's demographic. But i've seen some parties condone one brand and embrace the other. But it all depends on your "cheap" tastes.

natural-light (made by budweiser)
pap's blue ribbon (don't know,--)
keystone (made by coors)

But generally everyone brings Bud light. But people always end up handing beer out, so there is no reason to pay the extra cash, after the first 2 beers everything taste the same. So pregame it with your favorite beer then bring the cheap stuff to the party.

As far a liquor goes, everyone tries to buy the most expensive bottle of liquor then mix it. Which is dumb, if your going to mix it you don't need top shelf. Top shelf is for shots, when you can taste the difference. The most popular are jack Daniels and patron.

Nothing is avoided. If it's got alcohol, in on campus.

Of course drive safe, it's dumb not to: campus bus/AAA tow $ free ; cab fair $ 20 ; DUI $ 3-10,000
-plus you can get kicked out of school

Cheap stuff. Lots of Natty Light, Keystone and the like. Inexpensive vodka and whiskey, like Taaka and Evan Williams.
