Can you mix alcohol and either pepto bismol or tums without any negative effects?Whenever I drink I get really nauseous and sometimes get sick (and this is only after 3 or 4 drinks) so I'm wondering if I take one of these medications before or while I drink will do any good. I know some medications have extrememly harmful effects when mixed with alcohol, so what risks would I be taking here?

yes, many drugs are bad to mix alcohol with, but neither of those are harmful to mix. However I dont think that taking either of those meds is going to make anything any better for you. Maybe you are drinking too much, too quickly...maybe you are drinking beer of wine coolers, and the feeling you have is bloating and fullness...try different beverages in moderation, and see how they work for you.
