Alcohol causes nearly 4 percent of deaths worldwide, more than AIDS, tuberculosis or violence, The World Health Organization (WHO) warned recently. Approximately 2.5 million people die each year from alcohol related causes, the WHO said in its 'Global Status Report on Alcohol and Health.'
Alcohol is a casual factor in 60 types of diseases and injuries, according WHO's first report on alcohol since 2004. Its consumption has been linked to cirrhosis of the liver, epilepsy, poisonings, road traffic accidents, violence and several types of cancer, including cancers of the colorectum, breast, larynx and liver.
In the Final Testament (i.e. The Quran), Allah says: 'O ye who believe! Indeed intoxicants …are but defilement from the work of satan, so avoid it that ye may be successful (5:90)
It is amazing how 14 centuries ago The Quran had warned us of the harms of alcohol and instructed believers to abstain from drinking.
@ Don_ I wonder, my friend, what you could have possibly meant by saying contradiction. Almighty Lord mentions clearly in the Holy Quran(i.e. the Final Testament) that alcohol is not allowed for believers.

I know.. but i want to be cool, and i want people to like me and be socially in it u know what im saying? I feel like im a loser if i dont drink so i have to put up with it. And i am a Man of course so if i dont drink it'll make me look like im whimp!!!
