Well....
Alcohol lowers your state of consciousness and drops your defenses so that negative energy can overwhelm you.... thus you get a hangover.
Also, it warps your personality.
And physically of course, you deteriorate and harm delicate organs.
Socially, I suspect you inevitably encounter people who are bad company.
Those in AA impress me as people, because everyone is addicted somehow, & they're among those who do something about it.
