How long does it take for alcohol to take affect in your body?I want to know since I'm an inexperienced drinker and sometimes have an occasional drink (today happened to be that day). I want to know how long after you drink it until it takes affect (makes you buzzed)

Usually about 20 minutes because the alcohol is processed differently than food and goes through your bloodstream, not your stomach.

if you pour it down your ass you immediately get drunk because it immediately enters your system, but don't try it, it can kill you after a couple (not a joke), but a few minutes through the mouth

It really depends on the person's metabolism, rate of consumption and a few other variables...but the average is somewhere between 15-20 minutes.

Depends on what you're drinking and how much. After one beer, you probably won't feel anything.
It takes about 5-10 minutes to feel the effects of hard liquor for me, it's gradual.
Don't drink more than 2 if you're driving. Chances are if you got pulled over, young, and have smell of alcohol, the knockers will try to give you a Breathalyzer. You will probably fail the Breathalyzer if you had atleast 2 or 3, even if you don't feel it.
