How can I tell if someone I am dating is an alcoholic? He lost his job. What do you think? Help!?I have not heard from him in 2 months, although we seemed to be developing a solid relationship (or so I thought). I did not expect this for he was reliable in the past. Should I forget him and move on or wait for another month? What should I do? I'm upset!

Move on. If you suspect a drinking problem, there is one. And even if you care about him, if he cared about you he would've contacted you within two months. I'm begging you to save yourself a lot of trouble and move on. Being involved with someone with an addiction problem is extremely frustrating and emotionally draining.

Forget him. Why havent you heard from him in two months? The alcholic thing is one maybe thing, but if he hasn't called in two months then screw him!

Not a lot in info to go on with your question If he was fired for drinking on the job, there is a chance he has a drinking problem.
If that is not the case the reason he maybe avoiding you is the male ego effect. Man lost job, shamed, not feeling so Manly at this time.
