Assuming the beer is 5% alcohol, and the beer bottle is 12 ounces.

beer varies in alcohol content. From as low as 3.8% to as high as 9.5% (sometimes more, but the average is between 5 - 6%)Hard liquor is typically around 40%, liquers are more like 20%. ("proof" is a scale going up to 200, so you'd just double the figures)
