What are the relative calorie amount in different types of alcohol?

What are the relative calorie amount in different types of alcohol?I've been on a diet and it is going well, but plan on having a few at new years. What's my best bet if I'm going to imbibe for one night? What is the caloric content in different forms of alcohol?

Answer by Curious J
Your best bet is doing a vodka & soda water (or diet coke) the vodka itself is about 55 calories per shot and the soda water or doet coke has zero calories. Dark alcohol like captain morgan have higher calorie content because it has more sugars. Stick with clear alcohol like vodka, gin or clear rum and use a diet soda or soda water as a mixer.

Most light beer are around 90-100 calories each if you are looking to go that route. There are some like 55 miller select which are 55 calories but have less alcohol content.
