Why is drug use and alcohol consumption so high in the UK?Cannabis use in the UK is either the highest, or second highest in Europe (can't remember exactly), and alcohol consumption in the UK is the highest in Western Europe, and only slightly lower than the Czech Republic and Hungary (ie ex commie shitholes).
Cannabis use in the UK is significantly higher than the Netherlands, despite it being legal there.

Cannabis is not really legal in the Netherlands its only available to be bought and smoked in certain places, its illegal to smoke it in any public places including the street.
