Alcohol limits in the UK... unrealistic?

Alcohol limits in the UK... unrealistic?I don't understand the recommended alcohol limits. Right now I'm drinking a can of Scrumpy Jack's cider, it says that a can contains 3 UK units and that a males recommended daily units are between 3-4 and for women 2-3. But nobody would do that, drink one can in a day. I don't understand it could somebody please explain... maybe I am missing something here.
